Health & Safety
Based on recent health data, flu cases are on the rise. We advise community members to stay home if they are feeling unwell to help prevent the spread of illness. To enhance safety measures, please use masks as appropriate
It is important to show respect and maintain good etiquette when attending the masjid. Here are some key etiquettes to follow during Ramadan in the masjid:
Arrive early: Arriving early for prayers, especially for Taraweeh, ensures a peaceful environment and allows you to settle in and reflect.
Keep the Masjid Clean: Avoid leaving trash behind, and make sure the place remains clean after you use it.
Be Quiet: Keep conversations to a minimum and encourage our kids and youth to do so, especially during prayer times and the recitation of the Quran.
Phones on Silent Mode: Make sure your phone is on silent or vibrate to avoid distracting others during the prayers.
Show Patience: During Ramadan, the masjid may be crowded, especially at night for Taraweeh prayers. Be patient and understanding with others and maintain a positive attitude.
Avoid Arguments: If disagreements or discussions arise in the masjid, handle them with kindness and respect. Ramadan is a time for spiritual reflection and community harmony.
As part of our commitment to sustainability and following the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, we will no longer provide disposable water bottles during Isha and Taraweeh prayers. Kindly, we encourage everyone to bring their own reusable water bottles and make use of the water fountains near the entrance and the water dispenser in the kitchen.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Do not waste water, even if you perform your ablution on the banks of an abundantly-flowing river.” (Ibn Majah)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: “لَا تُسْرِفْ فِي الْمَاءِ، وَلَوْ كُنْتَ عَلَى نَهَرٍ جَارٍ” (ابن ماجه)
Let’s work together to protect Allah’s blessings and be responsible stewards of this Earth and our community.
May Allah (SWT) bless our prayers, gatherings, and efforts to accommodate the community efficiently.
Jazakum Allah Khair for your cooperation.
